Notes for: Susannah ("Sudie") Bodine
Susannah was less than forty years old at the time of her death. She and Franklin had eight recorded children before Susannah died shortly after the birth of Lillian. The census has revealed very little about the family, but it is believed that most of their married life was lived in San Augustine County. By tradition, "Sudie" was reputed to have been in ill health for a large part of her life. She is also said to have been buried in the Rather Cemetery.

Frank and Susannah Stephenson were living 1880 in San Augustine County engaged in farming. After more than 5 years of marriage the couple had no children living with them. It is said by family members that Frank and Susannah had 8 children. Franklin Stephenson was buried in McRae Cemetery, San Augustine County and Susannah 'Sudie' Stephenson was buried in Rather Cemetery, Shelby County.
