NORTH MYRTLE BEACH---Walter Victor "Butch" Morse, 59, husband of Jean L. Brenckman Morse, formerly of Monroe Township, N.J., died Friday, May 20, 2005 at his residence. He was born Aug. 15, 1945 in Elizabeth, N.J., the son of Walter Kenneth Morse and the late Lillian Caroline Thorne Morse. Mr. Morse was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the VFW Post #4589 in Spotswood, N.J. He retired from PSE&G of New Jersey. Survivors including his wife of 34 years are: one son, Robert W. Morse of N. Myrtle Beach; three sisters, Carol A. Nichols of Bayville, N.J., Alma M. Brantley of Wake Forest, N.C., and Edwina J. Hicks of Bricktown, N.J. Graveside service will be held on Monday, May 23, 2005 at 10 a.m. at Southeastern Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3 to 4 p.m. at McMillan-Small Funeral Home. Jack J., of Ohio, formerly of Winfield Park, Linden, and Carteret, on Friday, March 26, 2004, beloved husband of Judith (Bodine) Ovsiew, loving son of Bernard Ovsiew and the late June Ovsiew, dear father of Susan Sullivan, Jody Ovsiew, Mark Morse, Lisa Morse and Sherry Carter, loving brother of Gordon Ovsiew, also survived by 10 grandchildren. Judith M. Ovsiew, 67, of Dickson City, died Monday at home. She was the widow of Jack Ovsiew, who died in 2004. Born in Elizabeth, N.J., daughter of the late John and Ruth Fisher Selak, she was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed. Surviving are a son, Mark Morse, Scranton; two daughters, Lisa Morse, Long Island, N.Y.; and Sherry Masterson, Scranton; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Maryann Golembeski, Clarks Summit; and Bonnie Desimone, New Jersey; and a son-in-law, Donji Masterson. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Michelle Robles. Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Davies & Jones Funeral Chapel, 135 S. Main Ave., Scranton.
