Lester H. "Teede" Vandermark passed away on June 11, 2009 after a long and courageous battle with his health. He was surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his parents, Marshall and Helen (VanPelt) Vandermark; wife, Madalyn (Budine); son, Douglas; brother's Marshall, William, Dewey, John, Laverne, Charlie and sister, Libby. A loving father who nurtured and loved the individuality of each of his children, his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren. You are our strength and inspiration. A loving husband of 50 years, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. We love you. He is survived by his children, Deborah (Thomas) Hulbert, Pamela "Babe" Leonard (Jim Rose), Lori Ann (Jim) Fuller, all of Deposit and Sherry Vandermark, Binghamton; grandchildren, Tera (Joe) Stanton, Deposit, Timothy (Trish) Hulbert, Seneca Falls, Luke (Jessica) Vandermark, Conklin, Dillon Leonard, Todd Vandermark, and Mandy Lyn Leonard, all of Deposit; great-grandchildren, Kari, Khristian and Cherokee Vandermark, Binghamton, Jacob and Madison Stanton, Deposit, Brayden, Caleb and Baby-To-Be Vandermark, Conklin, Hanna Hulbert, Seneca Falls and Liam Michael Teede Barnhart (arriving soon), Deposit; Sisters, Sally (Jim) Bowie, Pam (Jesse) VanOven, Ann (Fred) Stanton, Joyce (Jerry) Carlin; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; in-laws Jeanne Budine, Richard and Elaine Budine, Roger Budine, Ralph Goodrich, Arlene Vandermark, Joan Vander-mark, Jean Vandermark, Mary Ann Vandermark, Heather Vandermark and Elaine Vandermark. Lester worked for Sullivan County as an explosives supervisor for many years. He was a great outdoorsman with his love of fishing and hunting. His greatest accomplishments in life were his marriage to Madalyn of 50 years and the joy of raising his children. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 14, 2009 at Zacharias Funeral Home in Deposit. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from twelve until 2 p.m. time of service. Immediately following will be food and fellowship to honor his life.
