MIDDLETOWN--Doris Budine, 84, went to be with our Lord on Friday, April 17, 2009, after a short illness. She was born in East Meredith on March 28, 1925, the daughter of Merton and Millicent Rathbone Roe. She is survived by her loving husband, Cyrus R. Budine Sr., of 68 years. She had five children, Barbara A. (Clayton) Palmatier, Cyrus R. (Joyce) Budine Jr., Darla A. (Roy) Hendrickson, and Linette A. (Steve) Hendricks. She is survived by 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Kenneth Budine; a grandson, John Budine; two brothers, John and James Roe; and a sister, Edna Roe. She enjoyed reading and playing cards and spending time with her family and friends. There will be a memorial service at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2009, at the Walton United Methodist Church with Pastor Mark Del Giudice officiating. Burial will be in the Walton Cemetery at a later date. The family requests no flowers.

EAST MEREDITH Cyrus R. Budine Sr., 89, went to be with our Lord on Monday, Aug. 12, 2013, after a long illness. He was born in Walton on April 30, 1924, the son of Rubert and Alice Budine. He is survived by four children, Barbara (Clayton) Palmatier, Cyrus R. (Joyce) Budine Jr., Darla A. (Roy) Hendrickson, Linette A. (Steve) Hendricks; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Doris Budine; son, Kenneth Budine; his sister, Estella; his mother, Alice Budine; his father, Rubert Budine; and his grandson, John. He enjoyed fishing, eating, playing cards, watching TV and singing. There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 16, 2013, at the Walton United Methodist Church, with Pastor Dale Ashby, officiating. Burial will be in Walton Cemetery. Following burial the family will be having food at the church.
