I came across something interesting while going through some DeVoe papers:

Jaques de Vaux and Ann Bodin have a daughter Margueritte on Sept 23, bap 29, 1668; Mannheim French Church records (Germany). They have Abraham Jan 26, 1671, (this time her name spelled Boidin), and Issac Jan 10, 1674 (de Vau/Baudin), second daughter Marg. March 5,1677.

New York Genealogical & Biographical Review; vol 128, p50, 1997. (Mentions original publication issue and date.)

Not sure if she's a Bodine, but perhaps worth looking into.

Apparently they were all or married into the Bourgeois class in Mannheim.

Have a good one,
Jessica Armstrong

I know that Nicholas Devoe and Frederick Devoe came over in the 1670s, not sure if Jaques is their brother or if he came over as well. Perhaps Thomas DeVoe mentions something about Jaques in the 1885 DeVeaux Genealogy book.

Have a good weekend,
