David M. Potts, Jr., 41, of Saginaw, born in Nashville, Tennessee, son of David Potts & Gertrude Mai McAbee AND Ruth Bordine Roy, 31, of Plymouth, born in Milan, Michigan, dau. of Ernest A. Bordine & Blanche M. Fuller, were married 4 March 1950 in Saginaw.

Gordon P. Roy, born Oct 1911 in Detroit, Wayne County, son of Paul & Ellna (Citra) Roy, died 22 Nov 1948 in Detroit.

David Murray Potts Jr., 47, railroad engineer formerly of Nashville, died yesterday of an heart attack at his home in Plymouth, Mich. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Burial will be in Plymouth. Mr. Potts, a former employee here of the L&N railroad, left Nashville about 24 years ago. He was an engineer for the Baltimore and Ohio railroad at the time of his death. A native of Nashville, he was the son of Gertrude May Potts and the late David M. Potts Sr. He attended the public schools and was a graduate of Central high school. He married the former Miss Ruth Roy of Plymouth about five years ago. She survives. He was a thirty-second degree Mason and was a member of the Church of Christ. Besides his mother and widow, survivors are a son, David M. Potts III; a daughter, Miss Mildred May Potts; a stepson, Ernie Roy; a stepdaughter, Marna Roy; three sisters, Mrs. Ruby M. Moss and Mrs. Mary Louise Taylor, both of Nashville, and Miss Mildred Potts, Miami, Fla.; and a brother, William James Potts, Cordelle, Ga.
Ruth M. Potts Aged 93 yrs., of Plymouth. She was born in Milan, Michigan, to parents Ernest and Blanche Bordine. She moved to Plymouth when she was only 14 years old and never left. She would have to bury two husbands, Gordon Paul Roy in 1948 and David Murray Potts in 1954. Ruth was blessed with four loving children, Ernest (Judy) Roy, Marna Ruth Wyman, Mildred (Vance) Albers and David (Rhonda) Potts, III. Proud grandmother of 8. Great grandmother of 14. Great great grandmother of 1.
