Stephen A. Bodine, 22, formerly of Berkshire, died after being thrown from a vehicle on Route 336 in the Town of Fayette. He was not wearing a seat belt and after having been thrown from the vehicle it landed on top of him. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident at approximately 9:23 p.m.

INTERLAKEN---Stephen A. Bodine, 22, of Interlaken and formerly of Ithaca and Berkshire died suddenly on Thursday, Sept. 16, 1993, as a result of injuries sustained in an accident. He was born on Dec. 10, 1970, in Ithaca and had attended schools in Ithaca and Newark Valley, graduating from Ithaca High School. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca (Vincent) Bodine; sons, Seth and Joshua Bodine; mother and step-father, Martha (Weiss) and Robert Young of Berkshire; father and step-mother, John and Gail Bodine of Florida; grandmother, Adela Hiller of Valatie, NY and grandparents, Earle and Thelma Bodine of Freeville; sisters, Jessica Bodine of Berkshire and Mrs. Jon (Jennifer) Haliniak of Plattsburg; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Steve was currently a student at Fingerlakes Community College and enjoyed skiing, skateboarding and lake jumping. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday from the MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley with Pastor Eugene (Pete) Darling, of the Faith Christian Fellowship Church, Apalachin, officiating. Interment will follow in Coddington Road Cemetery, Ithaca. The family will receive their friends Sunday evening from 7-9p.m. at MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley.
