Notes for: Frederick ("Fred") H. Bodine

In 1910, Fred Bodine was living in Lake, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin working as a carriage chauffeur. On 8 June 1918, Fred H. Bodine registered for the World War I draft in Milwaukee. He stated he was born 5 Feb 1888 in Streator, Illinois, worked for the Federal Rubber Company, was married and had two children. In 1920, he lived in Milwaukee working as a tire builder and in 1930 worked as an insurance salesman in Milwaukee. In all of the censuses he reported that his father was born in Sweden and his mother in Norway.

BODINE,AGNES (McCALL) Passed awat Sat., Aug. 17, 1968, at the age of 74 years, residence 1400 E. Warnimont av., beloved wife of Frederick H. Bodine, mother of Jerome McCall and Patricia Cassidy, sister of Marie Beardsworth of New York, Martha Jaworski, Rose Kurowski, Leo Kerwin of Milwaukee, Helen Eilers and Lucille Verbel of California, mother-in-law of Florence McCall and Richard Cassidy; also survived by 7 grandsons, 6 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Funeral at Niemann Sons, 2486 S. Kinnickinnic av., Wed., Aug. 21 at 1:30 p.m. Interment Woodlawn cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Tues., and from 9 a.m. Wed. until time of service. Memorials appreciated to the Cancer Society.

The Milwaukee Journal of 23 Sept 1968 reported that Fred Bodine died in Milwaukee on 21 Sept 1968.....he was 80 years old. He was the father of Gerald L. Bodine of Lawton, Michigan; Win Bodine of Milwaukee, father-in-law of Anne K Bodine and Kathryn Bodine. He is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery in Milwaukee.
