Notes for: Charles Augustus Bodine, Jr.

From Ronny Bodine:

NOTE: From all the available records it is unclear if Charles was the son of his father's first wife, Anna, or his second, Helen. Charles Jr. was born in 1926 at the time his father was married to Anna and did not marry Helen until 1930. Charles Jr. names Helen as his mother at the time he married in 1951. Yet, in 1970, Anna conveyed her interest in joint property to Charles Jr. The 1977 obituary of Charles Jr. names Helen as his mother and the 1988 obituary of Helen refers to the sons of Charles Jr. among her survivors. Was Charles Jr. the son of Anna but raised by Helen? Or was Charles Jr. born to Helen at the time Charles Sr. was still married to Anna?
