In April 1940, Loraine Berdine, 19, with her sister Audrey, 16, lived as lodgers in the home of Albert and Lela McClean in rural Clackamas County, Oregon. Lorraine worked as a stenographer for an insurance company.

Lorraine B. Ficken, wife of Dale, born May 1920, died 30 May 1973 in Clackamas County.
Dale Fuller Ficken, husband of Delia, born 1918, died 11 March 2004 in Clackamas County.

Note: In 1966, Dale and Lorraine Ficken resided in Milwaukie, Clackamas County which is likely where Lorraine died. Dale later lived in that portion of Portland which is located within Clackamas County.

A service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 13, 2004, in Portland Memorial Funeral Home for Dale F. Ficken, who died March 11 at age 86. Mr. Ficken was born Jan. 1, 1918, in Arapahoe, Neb. He moved in 1945 to Portland, and owned Dale's Footlong's restaurant. In 1940, he married Lorraine Berdine; she died in 1973. He married Delia A. Maple in 1981. Survivors include his wife; sons, Robert and David; daughter, Suzanne Moon; stepdaughters, Ann Oliver and Barbara Dietz; sisters, Garth Gookin and Lois McKim; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
