Buell E. Bodin, age 87, of Longview died Jan. 3, 2008. He was born in St. Cloud, Minn., Dec. 16, 1920, to Richard and Alice E. (Gorans) Bodin and moved with them to Longview in 1924. He graduated from R.A. Long High School in 1938. He married Lorraine M. Campbell April 26, 1945, at Trinity Lutheran Church. She survives him. Also surviving are a son, Timothy and his wife, Julie of Newcastle, Wash.; a daughter, Denise and her husband, Jim of Kelso; three granddaughters; a grandson; a great-grandson; and a great-granddaughter. Buell enjoyed his job of 39 years as parts manager for Watkins Tractor & Supply Co. He was well-known his fantastic memory for parts numbers. He was also recognized for his ability to hunt down antique tractor parts for collectors. Besides his job, Buell enjoyed his family, helping in whatever way he could, especially with moving or remodeling. His favorite treat was eating out. His hobbies were running and walking the lake and target practice. He was a member of the NRA. Buell and his wife were able to travel to several places before retiring: Jamaica, Israel, Hawaii, New York, Arizona, Nevada, California, Texas, Florida and Montana. They went on a Caribbean cruise for his eightieth birthday and celebrated their fiftieth anniversary with a cruise to Alaska. He was preceded in death by a brother, Stan; two sisters, Helen L. Hart and Emelia Bodin; a grandson, Jeremy; and a niece, Susan Eiford. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at East Hills Alliance Church with the Rev. James Cram and the Rev. Nick Stumbo officiating.
