Carle A. Bodine, Jr. age 71, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Overlook Hospital after a short illness. Born in Dover, NJ on February 2, 1947, he was the eldest of two sons born to Carle A. and Frances Bodine. Carle graduated from Kinnelon High School in 1966 after attending three years in Passaic Valley High School. Carle married his high school sweetheart Linda (Laska) in 1966 and soon after moved to Jacksonville, FL to attended college. He earned his BA at Jones College in 1971. He was a member of the Phi Theda Pi business fraternity. After attending college he was a Human Resource Manager for thirty-five years at several major companies including; Thomas Electronics, Becton Dickinson, and Ivers-Lee. For the past fifteen years he has been employed by Enterprise Car Sales as a photographer. Carle has a great work ethic and was one of the hardest working people you could ever meet. He was extremely fastidious, and always made sure all of his T's were crossed and his I's were dotted. Carle was an extraordinary person who touched the lives of many people and will be missed by everyone who knew him. As a young boy Carle loved cars. He was a fan of the Grand Prix. He had the good fortune to attend the Grand Prix at both Watkins Glen and the Meadowlands. A loyal and steadfast fan of the Giants Football team, he wore the jacket proudly. Carle is survived his devoted wife Linda (nee Laska) of Wayne, loving sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Christine and Carle Lewis of Montville, NJ, beloved nephew , Craig Lewis and his wife Rebecca of MA, and their sons Sean and Bradley, along with many other extended family members. He was predeceased by his brother, Guy L. Bodine in 2012. A memorial service will be celebrated at 11AM on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the Montville Reformed Church, 9 Church Lane, Montville, NJ 07045.
