William and Mary Abele were buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Zanesville, Muskingum County.

Mrs. Mary B. Abele, 78, of 52 Brighton boulevard, died at, noon today at Good Samaritan hospital. She was admitted to the hospital Wednesday after fracturing her left shoulder Tuesday in a fall at her home. She had been in failing health for some time. Mrs. Abele was a lifelong resident of Zanesville and a member of Brighton Presbyterian church. Surviving are her husband, William; a son, William, of 125 Roosevelt avenue; and three grandchildren, Joseph, Pamela and Jean Abele. The body has been removed to the Hearing-Bryan-DeLong funeral home.

William Abele, 92, of 1141 Roosevelt avenue, died at 10:30 o'clock this morning at Bethesda hospital where he was admitted last night for treatment of a paraletic stroke suffered yesterday morning at the
home of a sister, Mrs. Frank Defibaugh, with whom he had lived since the death of his wife, Mary, in 1945. Mr. Abele was born Dec. 29, 1860, in this city, the son of Frederick and Phillipena Darringer
Abele. He was a retired real estate dealer. Prior to that he had operated a grocery store on upper Main street. He was also at one time employed by the Atlantic and Pacific Tea company. He was a member of the Brighton Presbyterian church. Surviving is a son, William B. Abele of Charleston, W. Va.; two brothers, Frank of Lennox, Calif., and Charles Abele of North Linden avenue; two sisters, Mrs. Defibaugh with whom he had made his home and Mrs. Emma Vogelmeier of Newark; four grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. The body was taken to the Hearing-Bryan-DeLong funeral home.
