Howard V. Bodine AND Ethel D. Silvey were married 9 Oct 1916. [Note: Ethel was the daughter of Pressley A. and Vellie Silvey.]
On 5 June 1917, Howard Verne Bodine registered for the World War 1 draft in Indianapolis, Indiana. He reported being born 6 March 1892 in Manchester, Indiana, worked as a real estate broker and was married. In April 1930, he lived in Indianapolis with his wife Ethel, both working in the automotive field, Howard in sales and Ethel as a bookkeeper. Howard and Ethel Bodine divorced and in 1936 Ethel married Alvin John Clippert (1891-1941). In 1942, Howard registered for the World War II draft as a resident of Cincinnati, Ohio, worked for the F & N Motor Company and named Eloine P. Bodine, his wife, as his next of kin.
Eloine Pate was the daughter of Albert & Lucy J. Pate with whom she lived in 1900 in Pike, Ohio County, Indiana. She appears as Elvina Pate, born Feb 1898 in Indiana, but in 1910, in the same place, is named Eloine Pate, age 12. In 1930, she lived in Indianapolis, Indiana as Eloine Pate, age 32.

Howard V. Bodine, 84, 200 St. Andrews Blvd., Winter Park, died Monday. Born in Indiana, he moved to the Orlando area in 1959. He was a retired executive secretary of the Florida Automotive Wholesalers Association, attended Aloma Baptist Church and was a Mason. Survivors: wife, Mrs. Eloine P., andt wo nephews. Mrs. Eloine P. Bodine, 82, 200 St. Andrews Blvd., Winter Park, died Sunday. Born in Indiana, she moved to Central Florida from Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1959. She was a homemaker and a member of Aloma Baptist Church. Survivors: sister, Mrs. Cynthia Price, Trenton, N.J.; nephews, James F. Bodine, Longwood, Robert W. Bodine, Tallahassee. Garden Chapel Home for Funerals, Orlando.
