Notes for: John Bodin / Bodine

There are a couple of other Bodine/Bodeen/Boda individuals listed in Moline who might be this John's sons. One is Victor. He was supposedly born in Illinois in abt 1874. His death record says he is buried in Riverside Cemetery in Moline, but I cannot find him in the online records.

Mrs. John Bodin died in Moline Monday, aged 49, after 2-days' illness from apoplexy induced by sunstroke.

John Bodine, aged 88 years, and resident of Moline for the last 38 years, died at 2:10 yesterday afternoon in his home, 1810 Fifteenth street. death was due to infirmitties of age. Funeral arrangements have not been made. Mr. Bodine was well known in this vicinity, having been employed for 26 years by Deere & Co., from whom he had been receiving a pension for some time. he was a native of Sweden and was botn July 15, 1932 [sic 1832]. He came to this country in 1882, direct to Moline where he had since made his home. Surviving are two sons, Andrew of Marion, Ind., and Charles of Moline, and one daughter, Emma of this city, and two grandchildren. His wife preceded him in death by 25 years.
