James Nelson "Jimmy" Bodine Jr., 68, of Arab died Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at Marshall Medical Center North. Mr. Bodine was born Feb. 26, 1951, in Detroit, Mich., to James Nelson and Melba Ruth Bagwell Bodine. He was a graduate of Arab High School, served in the National Guard and was a truck driver for many years. He is survived by his daughters and son-in-law: Amber and Adam Nelson of Arab and Ashley Bodine of Arab; brothers and sisters-in-law: Raymond and Regina Bodine and Edward and Shirley Bodine of Arab; sister and brother-in-law: Michele and Kean Harvey of Arab; grandchildren: Lane Edward Nelson, Titus James Nelson and Hannah Ruth Nelson; uncles and aunts: Bobby Bodine, Betty and Sam Griffin, J.D. and Sandra Bagwell, Clarence and Jan Bagwell and Martha and Oneal Kelley; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins and friends. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today, May 18, 2019, at Gober Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Brashiers Chapel Cemetery.
