On 5 June 1917, Edgar Archibald McNeil registered for the World War 1 draft. He reported being born 10 Sept 1890 in Mendocino County, California, that he worked as a hardwood floor layer for the Bay City Floor Company and that he was married. In Jan 1920, Edgar and Mable McNeil lived with Mable's parents in Portland, Oregon where Edgar worked as an inlaid worker for a hardwood company. In April 1930, Edgar was widowed and lived with his parents in San Francisco.

McNEIL---In this city, October 21, 1928. Mable, beloved wife of Edgar A. McNeil and loving mother of the late Edna Rose McNeil and loving daughter of J. A. and Annie Bodine and sister of Carlton Bodine, a native of San Francisco. Friends and acquaintenances are respectfully invited to attend the funeral Tuesday at 8: 30 a.m. from the parlors of McBrearty & McCormick, 643-645 Valencis st., between 17th and 18th sts.; thence to St. James Church, where a requiem mass will be offered for the repose of her soul, commencing at 9 a.m. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery.
