In June 1900, William and Fidelia Hite lived in Center Township, Marion County, Indiana. William, a policeman, reported that in 19 years of marriage his wife had borne 3 children of whom 1 lived. In April 1910 and Jan 1920, the family lived in Indianapolis where William worked as a city patrolman. By April 1930, William Hite was widowed and living in Indianapolis.

Mrs. Fidelia J. Hite, age fifty-seven, wife of William D. Hite, 105 East Thirtieth street, turnkey at the City Prison, died at her home Sunday. Besides her husband she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Rice Lambert, of Indianapolis; one brother, Alva Bodine, of Tulsa, Okla.; three sisters, Mrs. Edward Hatton, of Clarksburg, Ind.; Mrs. Emma L. Avery, of Bowie, Tex., and Mrs. Riley White, of Clarksburg, Ind. Funeral services will be held at the home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in Crown Hill cemetery.

William D. Hite, 78 years old, who was a member of the Indianapolis Police Department thirty years, died yesterday in his home, 5353 North New Jersey street, after an illness of nine days. Mr. Hite was born in Clarksburg. He served several years as a desk sergeant in the police department. He was retired twelve years ago. He was a member of Capital City Lodge, F. and A. M., and Keystone Chapter, Royal Arch Masons. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon in the Flanner & Buchanan mortuary, 25 West Fall Creek parkway. Burial will be in Crown Hill cemetery. A daughter, Mrs. Rice W. Lambert, wih whom he made his home, survives.
