Pauline Bodine Shirley, 79, of Bardstown, died Thursday, June 23, 2016, at Episcopal Church Home in Louisville. She was born April 9, 1937, in Bardstown. She retired from Kroger, was a member of Bardstown Community Theater, and The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher, and the Christmas play director. She was preceded in death by her husband, David "Dell" Shirley; and a brother, Isaac Bodine. Survivors include a daughter, Dana (Deron) Sorrell, of Bardstown; a son, Jeff Shirley, of Elizabethtown; a stepdaughter, Pamela (Tony) Ramirez, of Chicago; three grandchildren, Devin Sorrell, Delaney Sorrell and Daniel Sorrell; three sisters, Barbara Bodine, of Nazareth, Dorothy (Raymond) Rhoades and Roxanna (Kenny) Gordon, both of Bardstown; a brother, Marvin Bodine, of Bardstown; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Monday, June 27, at The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church, with burial in The First Cedar Creek Cemetery. Brother Gerald Hedgewood will officiate. Visitation is 1-5 p.m. Sunday, June 26, at Barlow Funeral Home and 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Monday, June 27, at The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church. Memorial contributions may go to Alzheimer's Association. Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
