Warren W. Fetzer, of Chinchilla, died Friday morning at Community Medical Center. His widow is the former Betty Bodine. The couple would have been married 59 years in October. Born in Scranton, son of the late Walter and Ruth Daley Fetzer, he had lived in Chinchilla since 1953. An Army veteran of more than 40 years between active and reserve duty, he served during World War II, Korea and Vietnam, retiring as a sergeant major in 1985. During his reserve duty, he was the supervisor of the area maintenance shop for the Army in Wilkes-Barre. Warren was also employed as a police officer in South Abington Township from 1955 to 1993, retiring as a sergeant. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Chinchilla, VFW Post 7069, Clarks Summit, a member and past Master of Peter Williamson Lodge 323 F&AM and a member of the Abington Keystone Consistory and Irem Temple Shrine, where he served as the director of the Oriental Band. He was the former chief and a charter member of the Chinchilla Hose Company, where he was serving as treasurer. Also surviving are a daughter, Kimberly and husband, Russell Bichler, Newton Township; a grandson, Russell Bichler; and several nephews. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Norma Traynor. The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit, with services by the Rev. Norman T. Faux, pastor, United Methodist Church of Chinchilla. Interment, Hickory Grove Cemetery, Waverly. Friends may call Sunday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Members of the Chinchilla Hose Company will provide a memorial service at 3. Masonic services will be held at 730. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Chinchilla Hose Company, Box 311, Chinchilla, 18410.
