Notes for: Abraham ("Abe") Bodian

On 20 Sept 1910, Abraham Bodian arrived in the port of New York aboard the ship "Potsdam" from Rotterdam. The family consisted of Rosa Bodian, 33, native of Trembola, Austria, Abraham 5 and Sam 3.

From Hartford County, Connecticut Marriage Records:
Abe Bodine AND Celia Marcus were married 23 Oct 1927 in Hartford.

In April 1930, Abe Bodine lived with his wife Celia and son Bernard in Hartford, Connecticut where he worked as a machinist in a ball bearing factory. The deaths of Abraham and Celia and their daughter Estelle, were all recorded by the state of Connecticut under the name Bodian. Their son, Bernard, apparently adopted the spelling of Bodine.

From Connecticut Death Records:
Celia Bodian of Meriden, 69, wife of Abraham, died 16 April 1976 in Meriden.
Abraham Bodian of Meriden, widower of Celia, born 2 Dec 1906, died 11 July 1985 in Meriden.

Abraham and Celia Bodian were buried in Emanuel Synagogue Cemetery, Wethersfield, Hartford County, CT.
