Charles V. Bodine Jr., 67, of Athens, MI, passed away, Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at the University of Michigan Health Systems in Ann Arbor Michigan. He was born July 25, 1945 the son of Charles V. Bodine Sr. and Hazel Bernice (Guthrie) Bodine. Charles was a 1963 graduate of Union City High School. He was employed at Greever's Landscaping and later retired from Amax Mfg. after 30 plus years of service. Charles is survived by Son: Raymond (Sheila) Bodine of Union City, MI; Daughter: Theresa (Bruce) White of Battle Creek, MI; Step Daughters: Tina Winchell and Sonya Winchell both of Indiana; Grandchildren: Timothy Bodine, Aaron Bodine and Toree (Michael) Miller; Great Grandchildren: Natalie Bodine, Hazel Bodine, Beatrice Bodine, Henry Miller, Emma Miller and Hunter Miller; and Sister: Janice Johnson. He was preceded in death by his Parents: his Grandmother that raised him: Alice Lowe; Wife: Carmen Bodine; Brothers: Frank Anthony, Richard Anthony and Larry Anthony; and Sisters: Ilene Crandell and Virginia. Charles enjoyed working on his yard and garden and watching TV. He was a member of the Gourd Assoc. and Future Farmers of America. A gathering of friends and family will be held at the 6700 W Drive South, Athens, MI on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 3:00 PM. Memorial tributes may be made to the Charity of one's choice.
