James L. G. Lash, 22, farmer, of Pittsford, N.Y., born in Pittsford, N.Y., son of George Lash & Gertrude Romertt AND Elizabeth J. Bodine, 20, of Pittsford, N.Y., born in Brighton, N.Y., daughter of Jacob Bodine & Jennette Cordwille, were married 13 Sept 1911 in Pittsford.
In 1930 and 1940, James and Elizabeth Lash lived in Rochester, Monroe County where James worked as a machine operator for the gas and electric company.
The Rochester City Directory of 1951 lists Elizabeth J. Lash, widow of James L. as a resident.

A funeral service for James L. Lash Sr., 58, of 831 Blossom Rd., a retired veteran Rochester Gas & Electric Corporation employee and co-proprietor of a hardware store in Honeye Falls, will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow in Hedges Memorial Chapel, 271 University Ave. Mr. Lash, who died of a heart attack yesterday (Oct. 20, 1948) in his home, retired in 1944 from the RG&E, after 26 years' service, and bought a hardware store in Honeoye Falls in partnership with William Griedson of Lima. Mr. Lash was a native of Pittsford. He leaves his wife, Elizabeth J. Lash; three sons, James L. Jr., Larry and Douglas E. Lash, all of Rochester; two brothers, G. Everett Lash and Garry W. Lash, both of New York City; four sisters, Miss Ernestine Lash of Boston, Mrs. Romaine Dean of Rochester, Mrs. Frank Harris of Walworth and Mrs. Harlow Ferrin of Fairport; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Burial will be in Pittsford Cemetery.

She is survived by two sons and their wives, James L. and Bernice, Farmington, NY, and Douglass E. and Mary Lash, Ontario, NY; 1 sister, Mrs. Ruth Johnville; 2 granddaughters, Mrs. Patricia Gallo, Scottsville, Mrs. Cathy Johnson, Canandaigua; 1 grandson, James L. LashIII; 10 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandson. Friends may call at Crawford Funeral Home, Inc. 495 N. Winton Rd., Wednesday 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Service Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment, Pittsford Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Friends wishing may contribute to the memorial fund of Brighton Reformed Church of Multiple Sclerosis Society, 1000 Elmwood Ave.
