At a beautiful and impressive wedding April 24 at the Mission Covenant church, Miss Margaret Bodine, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Bodine became the bride of Roy O. Young, son of Mrs. Theodore Young. Rev. Harold Erickson read the service.

Memorial service for Roy O. Young will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the First Covenant Church, with Private interment in Rose City Cemetery. Mr. Young died Sunday in a Portland hospital at the age of 72. Born in the family home in North Portland, he attended the University of Washington, then worked as an office manager for Montgomery Ward and later as head accountant for the Oregon Shipyards during World War II. After the war, he started his own perforated-metal business, which he ran until his retirement in 1972. He was a member of the First Covenant Church. Survivors include his wife, Margaret, of Portland; two sons, James R., of Eugene, and Cary E., of Canby; one daughter, Carolyn M. Bucher of Northbrook, Ill.; a brother, Stan, and two sisters, Helen Blomquist and Judith Hulen, all of Portland; and six grandchildren.

Margaret B. Young died Dec. 23, 2002, at age 90. Margaret Bodine was born Jan. 25, 1912, in Portland, where she lived all her life. She graduated from Jefferson High School. She was a homemaker who married Roy O. in 1936; he died in 1983. Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Bucher; sons, Cary and James; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
