1940 Bloomfield, Essex Co., NJ: William BOLOGNI 42 NJ bus driver, Mildred 39 NJ wife, Anthony 19 NJ son, Doloris 5 NJ son, James 1 NJ son. Residence 1 April 1935: Nutley, Essex Co., NJ.

From Social Security Records:
Anthony Joseph Bologni applied for a SSN in June 1939 and reported he was born 4 Sept 1920 in Nutley, NJ, son of Wm. and Mildred (Russo) Bodine. In Nov 1948 he reported his name as Anthony Joseph Bodine. He died 11 March 2000.

Anthony J. Bologni appears in the 1955 Bloomfield City Directory engaged as a grocer. The 1957 and 1959 directories list him as Anthony J. Bodine with wife Judy B., and working as a truck driver.


1st marriage--about 1950--JUDITH.
Judith Bodine was buried in Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield, Essex County, New Jersey. Social Security records report she was born 14 Oct 1920 and died in July 1972, with her social security number issued in New Jersey. Her death on 22 July 1972 was recorded in the burial records of Glendale Cemetery.


2nd marriage--1976--JEANNINE ADELE BRODERICK.
From New Jersey Marriage Records:
Anthony J. Bodine and Jeannine A. Broderick were married in June 1976 at Point Pleasant, Ocean County.

From New York Birth Records:
Adele J. Broderick was born 1 April 193 in Queens.

From Ocean County, New Jersey Deeds:
Anthony Bodine and Jeannine A. B. Bodine were married by 25 Oct 1979. In a deed of 19 Aug 1993 she is named as Jeannine A. Broderick Bodine and again, in Deed Book 10453, p. 1123, on 29 June 2001 as Jeannine Broderick Bodine, widow of Anthony J. Bodine who died 11 March 2000.

Jeannine Adele Bodine, age 93, of Seminole, Florida passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2023. A funeral mass for Jeannine will be held Wednesday, October 11, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St Jerome Catholic Church, 10895 Hamlin Blvd, Largo, FL 33774. BODINE, ANTHONY J., 79, of Seminole, died Saturday (March 11, 2000) at Largo Medical Center. He was born in Nutley, N.J., and came here in 1978 from New Jersey. He worked as a truck driver in Newark, N.J., and he was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church, Largo, and a church usher, a volunteer for the Bethlehem Center and a founder of Lifeline Ministries. Survivors include his wife, Jeannine; three daughters, Debe Bodine-Vazquez, Cuidad Juarez, Mexico,Doreen Cortisse, Houston, and Darcel Pearsall, Mint Hill, N.C.; a brother, James, Pasadena, Md.; a sister, Dolores Hill, Lewes, Del.; and three grandchildren. Garden Sanctuary Funeral Home, Seminole.

Anthony J. Bodine was buried in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Sumter County, Florida.

Note: In a brief telephone conversation with Jeannine Bodine of Seminole, Florida, on 30 Jan 2010, Mrs. Bodine stated her husband was not born a Bodine and that all members of the family took the name. She did not want to say what the name was originally, but said he was not adopted.
