1910 Neodesha, Wilson Co., KS: Thomas CRUISE 38 MO locomotive engineer, Edith 21 KS wife

Edith Bodine, age 26 and single, lived with her parents 1915 in Neodesha, Wilson County.

In 1930, Thomas H. Cruise, 55 MO, railroad engineer, lived in Springfield, MO.

From the Missouri Death Certificate of Thomas Henderson Cruise, divorced, retired railroad engineer, born 4 Dec 1871 in Misouri, son of Sidney & Mary (Barnhart) Cruise; died 7 March 1941 in Springfield, Greene County; buried in Green Lawn Cemetery. Mrs Mary Owings, Springfield, informant.


2nd marriage--1916--EARL HARTLAND DANFORTH.
From Illinois Marriage Records:
19 June 1916 in Chicago, Cook Co.: Earl H. Danforth, 34, of Brooklyn, New York to Miss Edith Bodine, 24, of Chicago, Illinois.

On 12 Sept 1918, Earl Hartland Danforth registered for the World War 1 draft in Independence, Montgomery County, Missouri. He reported he was born 13 Nov 1881, was a self-employed dentist and that Edith Danford was his next of kin.

1920 (9 Jan) Independence, Montgomery Co.: Earl H. Danford 38 NY Doctor-Dental Surgery, Edith B. 29 KS wife.

Earl and Edith Danforth divorced. Earl Danforth was buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, Los Angeles County, California.


3rd marriage--1927--CHARLES FRANK BAIRD.
From Adams County, Iowa Marriage Records:
Charles F. Baird, of Creston, Iowa, store keeper, of legal age, his 4th marriage, born in Camp Point, Illinois, son of son of Samuel B. and Susan (Subblet) Baird AND Edith B. Danforth, of Kansas City, Missouri, 36, her 2nd marriage, born in Neodesha, Kansas, dau. of daughter of David and Linda (Wages) Bodine, were married 22 June 1927 in Corning by E. A. Menoher, Minister.

In 1930, Charles F. Baird, 61, lived in Creston, Union County, Iowa with his wife Gladys, to whom he was married 2 years. Charles and Gladys Baird were buried in adjoining graves in Graceland Cemetery, Highland, Union County, Iowa.


4th marriage--1932--FRANCIS S. LINTON.
Francis S. & Edith B. Linton are listed in the 1935 and 1941 Independence, Kansas City Directories. In 1950, Mrs. Edith B. Linton is listed alone.

Funeral services for Francis S. Linton, 63, of Independence, who passed away at Mercy hospital there Wednesday morning following a heart attack, were held Friday afternoon from the Potts funeral home in Independence with Rev. Clair Hester of the Independence Methodist church in charge. Burial was made in the Neodesha cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. George Bodine of Pampa, Texas, were among the out-of-town relatives attending the services. Francis Stephen Linton was born in Independence May 12, 1886. He attended school in Cherryvale and as a young man worked in the oil fields as a driller, spending some time in Oklahoma and Texas. He was married February 9, 1932, to Edith Bodine of Neodesha and for several years was employed at the Artic Frozen Food Company and for the last two years was employed at the Crystal Ice plant. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edith Linton of the home, one brother, W. H. Linton of California, and several nieces and nephews. [Note: George Bodine of Pampa was the brother of Edith Linton.]
