Grace was aged 5 in 1880 and in the 1900 census was reported as born July 1875. Thereafter her age varies greatly and at her death is reported that she was 68, thus born 1886. Here 31 July 1875 is adopted as the likely correct date of her birth.

George Freeman Murray was born 19 Jan 1863 to John Arthur and Mary Ann Margaret Murray and was christened 20 March 1863 in Lahore, Bengal, India. George Freeman was first married to Mary Korwan who died 1897 and was the mother of George Freeman Murray 5th and Alice Elizabeth Murray, both of whom lived in 1900 with him and his 2nd wife, Grace.

Murray 3rd; died 5 Nov 1914 in Bethlehem, Northampton County; buried at Nisby Hill Cemetery. Informant Alice E. Murray of Bethlehem. [Clearly Alice was in error in naming her grandfather.]

Mrs. Grace Johnston, sixty-eight, widow of William F. Johnston, died Saturday in Ossining Hospital, where she had been a patient eight days. Born July 31, 1886, in Albany, she made her home in Riviera, Fla. She formerly resided in Croton. There are no survivors. The body will repose at Leach and Thomas Funeral Home, 95 Grand Street, Croton, where funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery, Croton.
