On 5 June 1918, James Sylvester Bodine registered for the World War 1 draft in San Francisco, California. He reported he was born 27 Sept 1894 (as opposed to Sept 1892 in 1900) in Cincinnati, Ohio, was single, and was employed as the operator of a lunch wagon.

Marriages. In this city, October 17, by Judge Conlan, James Bodine, aged 39, and Duma [sic] de Chateau, aged 26.
In 1930, Runa Bodine lived in San Franciso as proprietor of a restaurant. James and Runa Bodine were buried in Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno, California.
