April 8, 1908 to April 2, 2004-Denver. Gertrude lived a long and full life. She worked for many years at Western Union. During her lifetime she traveled extensively and visited many lands. She also had a true love and devotion to animals, especially cats. Those who wish, may make donations to the Cat Care Society.

Bodine & Hettie Blay AND Mary Louise Pickett Macklin, 21, divorced, of Long Beach, born in Salem, Oregon, daughter of Roger L. Pickett & Lela Baum, were married 18 Dec 1942 in Long Beach, by Edward Campbell, Clergyman. Third marriage for both.

BODINE--William Harold Bodine, 40, of 424 Elm Ave., died June 9 in a local hospital. He was a native of Denver, Colo., and resided there until moving to Long Beach in 1942. He was a musician with orchestras in Denver and locally, and was a member of the Christian Church. Surviving are a son, John Frank Bodine of Denver; his mother, Mrs. Nettie Bodine Nolen of Long Beach; a brother, Cal Bodine, Long Beach; and a nephew, Kenneth Bodine of Denver. Service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Mottell's Mortuary, with Reuben Luther Anderson of First Christian Church officiating. Interment will be in Sunnyside Memorial Park.

Mary Louise Glover, 82, a resident of Los Lunas, NM, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2003. She retired from Fuller Brush as a Salesperson, and was a former California real estates agent and the owner of Mary Lou's Closet, a used clothing store in Meiners Oaks, CA. Louise moved to New Mexico with her husband in 1973. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard V. Glover; her mother and father, Lela M. Baum Pickett and Rogers T. Pickett; and her only sister, Barbara Virginia Pickett Phelps. She is survived by her son, John F. Abbott of Milford, OH; daughter, Claudia M. Glover Gonthier of Las Vegas, NV; and son, Roderick V. Glover of Coopertino, CA. All services will be held on Friday, August 22, 2003 beginning with a visitation at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. at Romero Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m., where Mary will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Richard. Romero Funeral Home, 609 N. Main St., Belen, NM 87002.
