In 1910, James M. Bodine lived in Elberton, Whitman County with his wife and son working as a road supervisor. On 12 Sept 1918, James Monroe Bodine registered for the World War I draft in Colfax, Whitman County. In 1920, he appears as Roy J. Bodine, living in Elberton, Whitman County, with his wife and 3 children and in 1930, lived in Hauser, Kootenai County, Idaho engaged in farming. James and Addie Bodine were buried in Forest Cemetery, Coeur d'Alene, Kootenai County.

Addie Hinchliff was the daughter of James and Mary J. Hinchliff, living 1900 in Elberton, Whitman County, Washington.

Coeur D'Alene, July 30.--James M. Bodine, 71, a resident of the Post Falls district for the last 23 years, died Wednesday night at a Spokane hospital following a two-week illness. Mr. Bodine, a farmer, resided in the Palouse district for several decades before moving to Post Falls. He was active in affairs of Post Falls district and was a commissioner for the Pleasant View highway district. He was born in Austin, Minn., and came west shortly after 1900. He was a former member of the Woodmen of the World and the Knights of Pythias. He is survived by his wife, Addie, at home; two daughters, Martha Bodine of Post Falls and Mrs. H. O. Hartmann of Opportunity; two sons, LeRoy A. Bodine of Post Falls and Leo V. Bodine of Lewiston; two brothers, Earl Bodine of Phoenix, Ariz., and Lee Bodine of Pryor, Okla.; two sisters, Mrs. N. P. Davidson of Garfield, Wash., and Mrs. L. L. Miller of Seattle; and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Riplinger funeral chapel with the Rev. L. W. Winkle officiating. Burial will be in Forest cemetery.
