WATERMAN, Vernon J., 83, of Lithia, Florida, formerly of Elmira, New York, departed this life on January 23, 2011. He served in the United States Army, and for 50 years at the Erie Lacawanna Railroad. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Lorraine Waterman; children Marty Waterman, Marcia Hoffman, and Jodie Waterman; and 4 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 sister. The family will celebrate his life by receiving friends on Saturday, January 29 from 4 - 5:00 P.M. at Hopewell Funeral Home, 6005 SR 39 S, Plant City. Waterman, Lorraine B. Age 90 of Elmira, NY passed away Wednesday, September 23rd, 2015 at the Chemung County Nursing Facility. Lorraine was born in Elmira November 10th, 1924; the daughter of the late Freemond and Bertha (Updyke) Bodine. Surviving her are her children: Jodie (Peter) Buzzetti of Elmira; Marcia (Michael) Hoffman of Tampa, FL; Martin (Beverly) Waterman of Lowell, MI; four grandchildren: Shawn (Amanda) Allwood, Mathieu Hoffman, Patrick Hoffman, Daniel (Tara) Waterman; two great grandchildren: Ryan Allwood, Dannika Waterman; and sister in law: Sylvia (Robert) Crocker of Horseheads, NY. In addition to her parents, Lorraine was predeceased by her husband, Vernon J. Waterman in 2011. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY on Friday, October 9th, 2015 from 4:00PM to 5:00PM. Memorial services celebrating Lorraine's life will follow at 5:00PM. Interment will be at the family's convenience at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira. Lorraine worked as a sales clerk for Rosenbaum's for many years. She loved to travel and watch baseball. The most important treasure in her life was her family.
