Flemington---Miss Eleanor E. Bodine of Locktown and Peter A. Deckling [sic] of Lambertville were married Friday evening (Mar. 10, 1939) in the Amwell Church parsonage by the Rev. Henry T. Horne.

FLEMINGTON-Services for Peter A. Decking, 48, of Foothills Road, who died Sunday, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Holcombe Funeral Home, 147 Main Street. Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Lambertville. Friends may call this evening. Surviving are his wife, Eleanor Bodine Decking; a son, P. Michael; a daughter, Linda, both at home, and a sister, Mrs. Anna Malone of Trenton.

BRIDGEWATER -- Eleanor B. Decking, 86, daughter of the late Harry and Ellen Bodine, died peacefully on Tuesday (Jan. 25, 2005) at Integrated Health Services in Bridgewater. Born in Locktown, Eleanor resided in Bridgewater since 1949, spending the last three years at IHS. Eleanor was a secretary for Bridgewater-Raritan School District in Raritan for 21 years, retiring in 1978. Eleanor was a member of the Finderne Reformed Church in Bridgewater and was the former church choir director, organist and church secretary for more than 30 years. Eleanor was a kind and generous person who will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Peter Decking, who passed away in 1966; and her beloved son, Peter Michael Decking, who passed away in 2004. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving daughter, Linda Kokinda of Flemington; brother, Edward Walker of Sergeantsville; and granddaughter, Amy DiBenedetto of Flemington. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Finderne Reformed Church, 581 Bridgewater Ave., Bridgewater. Eleanor will be laid to rest in the family plot at Locktown Cemetery in Locktown. Eleanor will be in repose from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 E. Main St., Bridgewater.

Children: Peter Michael (23 March 1945), Linda (June 1950).
