William S. Bodine, aged 30, lived 1880 with his family in Hamilton, Mercer County, New Jersey where he was employed as a laborer. From Trenton Evening Times (Trenton, N.J.) of 1 Feb 1899: "William Bodine has been quite seriously ill at the home of his son, George Bodine, on North Clinton Avenue. The senior Mr. Bodine has been employed at St. Francis Hospital for the past eight years." The New Jersey census of June 1900 for Trenton, Mercer County records William H. Bodine, born Nov 1848 in NJ, age 51, married, carpenter, St. Francis Hospital. In Jan 1910, Louisa Bodine, age 57, and now widowed, lived with her father, John Skillman, in Trenton, Mercer County. It was recorded she had borne 2 children, both then living. In 1920, Louise Bodine, widow, aged 67, lived with her son-in-law and daughter, Samuel and Josephine Allen, in Trenton.

Mrs. Louisa Bodine, widow of William Bodine, who died yesterday, will be buried from her late home, 216 Brunswick Avenue, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Don Clyde Kite, pastor of the Central Baptist Church. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, under direction of Swayze & Margerum. Mrs. Bodine was 74 years old and leaves a son, George Bodine; a daughter, Mrs. Samuel Allen; two sisters, Mrs. Edward Tample and Mrs. Josephine Bogart; two brothers, John and Abram Skillman, and two grandchildren, George R. Johnson and Louisa Allen.
