He is listed as a farmer, age 70, born in NY, in the 1880 Census of Johnson, Ripley Co., IN. His father was born in PA and his mother in MA. I find the father's birth place kind of hard to believe. It needs checking.

In 1860-1870, Selah Bodine lived with his family in Johnson Township, Ripley County, Indiana. Selah and Sarah Bodine were buried in Cliff Hill Cemetery, Ripley County.
