Robert E. Connor, 60, operator of the Schooner tavern, 2901 S. 27th Av., died Tuesday. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Name Catholic church, with burial in St. Mary's cemetery. There will be a rosary at 8 p.m. Thursday at McDevitt-Hauge funeral home. Mr. Connor, who lived at 1500 E. 42nd St., was a member of Elks lodge 44. He lived in Minneapolis all his life. Surviving are his wife, Beatrice; a son, Patrick; three brothers, William, Charles and Joseph, and a sister, Mrs. John Rains, all of Minneapolis. The family prefers memorials to the heart and cancer funds.

Interment St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation Fri. 4 to 9 pm with Vigil Service 7 pm. Memorials preferred to Cancer Research.
