Obituary, The Oshkosh (WI) Northwestern of Friday, 27 March 1914.
Mrs. Anne Bowen, wife of B. A. Bowen, expired this morning about 10 o'clock at her home, 38 Fulton street. She was about fifty-five years of age and had been ill for the last four months. Those surviving are the husband, a well known pioneer liveryman, and two sons, Harry W. Bowen and Walter B. Bowen, both of this city. Funeral arrangements have not yet been made. Mrs. Bowen was held in highest esteem and had a wide circle of friends in Oshkosh and in Fon du Lac, in which latter city she was born. Having suffered for some time with stomach trouble, an operation was decided upon and this was performed last December at St. Mary's hospital, only to reveal the fact that the patient was the victim of cancer of that organ. White Mrs. Bowen realized that her condition was much more serious than was anticipated, she displayed remarkable courage and fortitude and made a heroic fight for life. For a period after the operation her condition improved materially but gradually her strength was undermined and in the last few days there was little hope that the inevitable could be stayed. The deceased was an active worker in the Plymouth Congregational Church.

By Jan 1920, Bradley Bowen was married to Ida and living in Oshkosh. In April 1930 he was 75 and in April 1940 he was 85, living with Ida in Oshkosh.

Obituary, The Oshkosh (WI) Northwestern of Friday, 9 Feb 1951.
Funeral services for Bradley A. Bowen, 96, pioneer resident and former livery stable proprietor of Oshkosh, will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at Spikes & McDonald funeral home, with the Rev. James A. Daum officiating. The Winnebago lodge No. 120 of Odd Fellows will also conduct services. Mr. Bowen was born Oct. 25, 1854 in Oswego county, N.Y., and came to the town of Black Wolf with his parents at the age of 2. In 1877 he left Oshkosh and went to Topeka, Kan., where he did agricultural work. It was in Kansas that Mr. Bowen married Miss Annie Bodine May 26, 1879, and returned to Oshkosh with his family around 1883. For six years Mr. Bowen did teamster work, and in 1891 bought a livery stable at 212 Main street, present location of the Raulf hotel. He operated the stable, which was known throughout the countryside for its fine horses, buggies, and drivers, until 1914. He had been retired ever since. In 1914 Mr. Bowen's wife died and in 1918 he married Ida Koehn, who preceded him in death in 1944. From then until three years ago the deceased lived at St. Mary's Home, and for the last three years he had been residing at Winnebago County hospital where he passed away Thursday afternoon at 1:15 o'clock. He was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge No. 120; and survivors are one son, Harry W. Bowen of Oshkosh, two grandsons, Bradley W. and Donald W. Bowen of Oshkosh, and six great-grandchildren. A son, Walter preceded him in death. Interment will be in Riverside cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock until the time of services.

Note: The foregoing obituary states Bradley Bowen was born in Oswego County, NY which is supported by the 1855 NY State Census which shows Abram B. Bowen aged 8/12, born in Oswego, and living with his parents in Grandby, Oswego County. At the birth of his son Walter, on 8 Aug 1883, he gave his birth place as Granby, New York.
