On 5 June 1918, William Raymond Cantrell regietered for the World War 1 draft in Cherokee County, Kansas. He reported he was born 7 Sept 1896 in Bakersfield, Missouri and worked for the Treece Lumber Company. In 1920, William and Etta Cantrell lived in Lincoln, Christian County where he worked as a blacksmith and 1930 in Republic, Greene County where he worked as a manager of a business. His Missouri death certificate (no. 1945-42183) states he died of a pulmonary embolism due to severe muscular strain and was buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Republic.
