In 1900, Eli Bodine lived in Richland Township, Shelby County, Illinois engaged in farming. He reported that in 8 years his wife had borne 3 children of whom only their daughter Ettie was living. In April 1910, he and his wife and daughter, with his parents, still lived in Richland Township.

1930 Republic Twp., Greeme Co., MO: Eli BODINE 64 IL farmer, Sarah F. 57 IN wife.

Per the Missouri death certificate (no. 1933-960) of Sarah Bodine, she died of uterine cancer and was buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Republic Township.


2nd marriage--1933--ARTIE MABLE NOKES.
From Lawrence County, Missouri Marriage Records:
Eli Bodine, 67, of Republic, Mo. AND Artie Mable Harp, 44, of Lamar, Colo., were married 18 Nov 1933 at Mount Vernon, by J. P. Colley, Judge of Probate.

Artie Nokes was the daughter of Columbus M. and Sarah Elizabeth (Bolin) Nokes.


3rd marriage--RUTH ANN OWINGS.
From Missouri Certificate of Death for Ruth Ann Bodine, wife of Eli Bodine, born 6 Dec 1876 in Iowa, daughter of Asa Owings, died 22 Oct 1939 in Republic Twp., Greene County; buried in Mt. Sinai Cemetery. Informant was Mabel Patterson.

1940 Republic Twp., Greene Co., MO: Eli BODINE 74 IL widowed.


4th marriage--1941--LELA MUENCH.
From Lawrence County, Missouri Marriage Records:
Eli Bodine, 75, of Republic, Mo. AND Lela Muench, 47, of Aurora, Mo., were married 28 Aug 1941 at Aurora, by Rev. Charles S. Harpe, Methodist Minister.

In 1900, Lela M. Muench, born Sept 1894 in Missouri, lived with her parents Delford C. & Carrie Muench in Montgomery, Wright County, Missouri.

Per Eli's Missouri death certificate (no. 1949-27445), he died of post-surgical shock and was buried in Evergreen Cemetery as well.

MONETT---Funeral services for Mrs. Lela Muench Bodine, 79, of Monett, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Peterson Chapel, Aurora, with the Rev. David Kerr officiating. Burial will be in the Aurora Maple Park Cemetery. Mrs. Bodine died about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the state hospital in Nevada. She is survived by one niece and one nephew.
