GUNTERSVILLE - Annie Irene Hampton Bodine, 64, died Wednesday at a local hospital. Spry Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements. Mrs. Bodine was a native of Limestone County and graduated from Huntsville High School. She worked for Redstone Federal Credit Union and Family Security Federal Credit Union before retiring. Survivors include her husband, Grady Bodine; three sons, Matthew T. Pearsall of Decatur, Kevin E. Pearsall of Somerville and Grady Bodine Jr. of Rocky Mount, N.C.; two brothers, James W. Hampton Jr. and Franklin Darby Hampton, both of Huntsville; and several grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Grady Bodine Sr., 83, of Guntersville, died Thursday, May 18, 2006, at Marshall Medical Center North. Memorial services will be Sunday, June 11, at 2 p.m., at Guntersville Memorial Chapel with burial in Crestview Cemetery. Guntersville Memorial Chapel and Crematory will direct. A sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II, he served in New Guinea, the Philippines and Japan from 1943-46. He was an avid Alabama football fan and attended 50 straight Iron Bowl games. Survivors include sisters, Odessa Powers of Manchester, Tenn. and Nan Brown of Arab; granddaughters, Callie Ward of Trussville, Anna Harris of Columbiana and Samantha Bodine of North Carolina; five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his second wife, Ann Hampton in 2000 and his first wife, Fay Marsh in 1982; brothers, William Tell Bodine, Clarence Bodine; sisters, Annette Madden, Nova Jean Moon; only son, Grady Bodine Jr.
