Sibling, William Tell Bodine, I was not aware of him.

Nan Bodine Brown, 85, of Arab died Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Brown was born March 25, 1935, in Guntersville to Annie and Curtis Elbert Bodine. They moved to Summitville, Tenn., when she was a young girl and always considered Tennessee her first home. After graduating from Coffee County High School in 1953 she attended St. Thomas School of Nursing in Nashville. It was during her time studying to become an R.N. that she met her husband, Dennis. She graduated from St. Thomas in 1956 and they married in 1958. They started life together in Covington, Kentucky and, in 1970, moved to Arab where Dr. Brown worked as a radiologist at the old Arab Hospital, later Marshall Medical Center North. A grandmother to ten and, as of April 1, 2020, a great-grandmother for the first time; she adored her grandchildren. She lived for her family, was the epitome of a knowledgeable and compassionate nurse, and loved her friends and laughter. She was a sharp poker player and enjoyed the slot machines when they would take off to the casino. The youngest of seven children, she was the last of her siblings. She will always be remembered for her smile and her giving nature. She never met a stranger. If one word could summarize her personality it would be unpretentious. She was one of a kind and will be missed. She is survived by her husband: Dr. Dennis Brown of Arab; six daughters and sons-in-law: Bardie Brown, Pamela and Mark Williams, Nancy and Matt Montegut, Betsy and Bill Garvis, Linda and Roger Blackmon and Susan and Joe Deal; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. The private family mass of Christian burial was Saturday, July 4, 2020, at Saint William Catholic Church in Guntersville. Burial was in Arab Memorial Cemetery with Gober Funeral Chapel directing.
