Kenneth Paul Bodine, 25, of Michigan City, Indiana; born in Niles, son of Clem Bodine & Mabel Blessing AND Dorothy Mae Behner, 25, of Michigan City; born in New Buffalo, Michigan, dau. of Frank Behner & Clara Joyal, were married 28 June 1952 in New Buffalo.

Dorothy (Behner) Bodine is the daughter of Frank F. and Clara Adelia (Joyal) Behner. Kenneth and Dorothy Bodine divorced and on 24 May 1975 in Michigan City Dorothy married 2ndly, Robert William Coursel (1931-1993), surviving his death on 1 April 1993.

Dorothy Coursel, 91, of Michigan City passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2023, in Michigan City. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Jan. 30, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the Root Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Reshan officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Monday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Dorothy was born July 31, 1931, in LaPorte to the late Frank and Clara (Joyal) Behner. She married Robert Coursel, who is preceding her in death. Surviving are three daughters, Sue (Lloyd) Wood, Norma Bodine-Nipple and Cindy (Brad) Egelske; many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters, Helen Walters, Betty (Wally) Ratliff and Florence Brunton; one brother, Frank Behner; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by one son, Robert Bodine; and her siblings, William, Louis, Joseph, Carol, Jean, Joan and Phyllis. Dorothy retired from Arno Tape after many years of service. She was a member of Saint Paul Lutheran Church. The family would like to thank the Arbors for her wonderful care. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.


2nd marriage--1968--JACQUELINE CLAIRE MENDENHALL.

LACONIA, N.H. - Jacqueline Claire Bodine, 69, Laconia, formerly of Michigan City, died Aug. 31, 2000. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Christian Church, with the Rev. Kim Cole officiating. Cremation has taken place, and burial of the cremains will be in Patton Cemetery, LaPorte. Root Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements. She was born May 1, 1931, in Michigan City, to William and Clara Reppert Antiss. On Aug. 8, 1968, in Michigan City, she married Kenneth P. Bodine . He died May 10, 1977. Mrs. Bodine is survived by one daughter, Karen (Wayne) Mendenall Chase, Laconia; four stepchildren; two granddaughters; several step-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. In 1949, she graduated from New Troy High School in New Troy, Mich. Mrs. Bodine taught Sunday School at First Christian Church for several years. She was a bank teller in Michigan City and the Benton Harbor, Mich., area. After the death of her husband, she moved to Sarasota, Fla., where she worked for the Sarasota County Sheriff's Department. Then she moved to New Hampshire, where she retired from the state hospital in 1995. She enjoyed camping, her family and swimming, and was an active supporter of the Fraternal Order of Police.
