In 1910, Edith Badine, age 20 and single, was living with her father in South Bend, St. Joseph County employed as a weaver in a woolen mill. The 1914 South Bend, Indiana City Directory lists Edith Bodine living with her father and working as a stenographer. She is no longer listed in the 1916 city directory. She is called Edith Childs, resident of Chicago, in the April 1930 newspaper obituary of her brother Grover Bodine.

Raymond S. Schild, 23 AND Edith Boudine, 23, were married 20 June 1917 in Chicago.

1920 Chicago, Cook Co., IL: Raymond S. SCHILD 25 IL musician-orchestra piano player, Edythe 24 IL wife, Eileen 2 IL dau.

1930 Chicago, Cook Co., IL: Edith SCHILD 35 IN divorced, Eileen 12 IL dau, Raymond 9 IL son.

In1930, Raymond Schild, reporting he was married, lived with his mother in Chicago. In 1940, he was married to his 2nd wife, Irene.

In 1942, Raymond Stevan Schild registered for the World War II Draft as a resident of Chicago. He reported he was born 28 April 1894 in Chicago naming Minnie Schild, his mother, as his next of kin.

Mrs. Edythe A. Schild, 84, nee Bodine, of Arlington heights, died Sunday in Lutheran General Hospital, Park Ridge. She was born in Walkerton, Ind., Feb. 22, 1890. Visitation is today from 7 to 9:30 p.m. in Haire Funeral Home, Northwest Highway and Vail Avenue, Arlington Heights. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Eileen (Joseph) Messina of Schaumburg; a son, Raymond W. (Frances) of Arlington Heights; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond S. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of the funeral home. Officiating will be the Rev. Mark S. Knutson of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Hoffman Estates. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights.
