MESA---Services for Richard Olen Bodine, who died May 26, 1984, in Phoenix, will be 9 a.m. Wednesday at Meldrum Mortuary, 52 N. Macdonald, where friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Mr. Bodine, of Mesa, was born in Gadsden, Ala., and moved to Arizona from London with his family 30 years ago. He was a 1967 graduate of Westwood High School. He was a bartender at Clare's cocktail lounge and had worked as a carpenter. Survivors include his wife, Martha; daughter, Nicole; mother, Clara Trader; father, Horace O. Bodine; a grandmother, two sisters; and a brother. [Note: It is unclear if Nicole was Richard's natural daughter or a stepdaughter as she is not named as a granddaughter of Richard's father, Horace Olen Bodine, in his June 2011 obituary.]
