Obituary, The Seattle (WA) Times of 24 Aug 2022.
DONN BODINE DIES (Written by Donn Bodine in 2015. Updated to reflect the date of passing.) Born April 7, 1933, at Swedish hospital, and died August 16, 2022, at his home. In between times, he had three children Steve (Terri), Bruce (Debbie), and Charlotte Bodine. Nine grandchildren and then many great-grandchildren. He did like the Bible said. "Prosper and multiply". He leaves behind his loved wife "Geri", (Geitzen-Powell). Donn was proud of his 100% Swedish parents Clarence and Hildur Bodine. He apologizes to his younger brother Allan, and best friend, for tricks while growing up in the Phinney Ridge neighborhood. Donn attended John B. Allen grade school, Hamilton Jr. High, and Lincoln High, and the U of W. He was a Delta Chi. He started out a small General Contractor and stayed that way. Eventually operating some apartment rentals. He loved the mountains, the early hikes, the campouts, oh, and the skiing. That was his sport until 2007. Another favorite was fishing. Then lately, the winters in Maui with Geri. He bids goodbye to my beautiful wife Geri of 19 years. And my children, whom I love, Steve, Bruce, and Charlotte. And the grandkids and great-grandkids. You can visit me across the street from Home Depot at Washelli Cemetery, where I made my most expensive investment in land on August 16, 2022. In remembrance of Donn's life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to Calvin Presbyterian Church.
