Mr. Ralph W. Bodine, Route 2, Plainwell, formerly of Otsego, passed away Sunday evening at Pipp Community Hospital, Plainwell, following a lingering illness. Mr. Bodine was born Oct. 4, 1895 in Cheshire. He was a member of the Otsego Methodist Church and was a resident of Otsego for about 48 years, retiring from the Sano Septic Tank business about 10 years ago. Mr. Bodine was united in marriage with Nellie Minegar, Jan. 1, 1914 in Allegan. Surviving are his wife, Nellie; 2 daughters, Mrs. Gerald Nyberg and Mrs. James Hale, Plainwell; 1 son, Clare, of Orlando, Fla.; 6 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Mrs. Sadie Wilkenson, Bloomingdale; 2 brothers, Ray of Tucson, Ariz., Paul of Otsego; many nieces and nephews. Friends called at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego, where services were held Wednesday at 1:30 o'clock, Rev. Emerson Minor and Rev. Birt Beers officiating. Interment, Hillside Cemetery.
