MARRIAGE: The following article was found amoung old photographs and other personnal items in the Short home following the death of Billy Short. The article was probably clipped fron the Central City Times-Argus shortly after the marriage of Eunice Mae Bodine and Yamon Ernest Short on 9 Oct 1913:

Bodine - Short

Miss Eunice Mae Bodine and Mr. Yamon Ernest Short were married at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Wootten in Louisville on Thursday morning at 11 o'clock. The ceremony was performed by Rev. A. G. Alderman, pastor of the First Baptist church. The wedding was not an elopement, as there were no parental objections, but the young couple preferred a quiet marriage away from home and also wanted to surprise their friends.

The bride is an unusually attractive and accomplished young lady and is graduated from the local high school last year. Mr. Short is one of Central City's best known and most popular young men, and connected with the Bennet Clothing company. They were given a rousing reception on their return to Central City and everyone wishes them a long and happy married life.
