William H. Scharff, 65, of Gloucester Township, died Sunday at home. Mr. Scharff was born in Audobon. Formerly of Haddon Heights and Audobon, Mr. Scharff recently settled in the Hilltop section of Gloucester Township. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Scharff was a self-employed painter. Surviving are his two daughters, Debbie Buffington of Gloucester Township and Dawn Commander of Mount Ephrain; a brother, Paul Scharff of New Orleans, La.; a sister, Elizabeth DiPalio of Cherry Hill, and a grandson.
