New Middletown- Thomas O. Bodine,72, passed away Sunday morning after a 14 month illness. He was born in Youngstown on June 15, 1932, a son of Osborne and Laurena Bodine. Mr. Bodine worked as Supervisor of the Bureau of Motor Vehicles and Administration retiring after 34 years; and he also was an assistant at the Mahoning County Engineers. He was a member of the Poland Presbyterian Church, ARCO Veterans Club, Saxon Club, and managed in the Poland Community Baseball Association. He enjoyed his family, cooking, Bocce, Sinatra, and "FOOTBALL." He was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, friend, and a proud American; and was loved by all and will be sadly missed. He leaves his wife of 44 years, the former Margaret (Peggy) M. White, whom he married October 8,1960; a son, Jeffrey Bodine of New Middletown; a daughter, Heather Bodine of Canfield; a brother, Alvin (Alice) Bodine of Florida; and two grandchildren, Anthony and Alexa. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Edgar and Roland Bodine; and two sisters, June Astanis and Virginia Commings. Funeral services will be Wednesday 2:30PM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland. riends may call Tuesday from 4-8PM and Wednesday one hour prior at the funeral home.
