A celebration of life service for Susan K. "Susie" Bodine will be held at a later date as it was her wishes to be cremated. She died at 5:02 pm Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Lima Memorial Hospital. She was born on September 23, 1958 in Kenton to James and Jane (Harvey) Davis. On July 06, 1985 she married Wilmer L. Bodine and he preceded her in death on January 28, 2017. Surviving are her step children, Karin Bodine of Ada, Andrew (Shannon) Bodine of Biloxi, MS, and Chad (Heather White) Bodine of Mt. Victory, step grandchildren, Briana (Robert) Handell, Marissa (Jarrod) Kindell, Morgan Bodine, Andrea Bodine, Amber Bodine, Kelsie Bodine, Kendall Bodine, Rayden Bodine, Jackson Bodine, and Camden Bodine, and 6 step great grandchildren. As well as her mother, Jane Davis of Kenton, sisters, Marilyn (Richard) McHugh of TN, Marijane (Larry) Walters of OH, Jalene (Scott) Sallyards of FL, Terri (Duane) Ramsey of OH, and Toni (Doug) Hatfield of SC, sister-in-law Vonna Chamberlain of Mt. Victory and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother James Davis. Susie was a cafeteria worker for the Kenton City Schools and a member of the Mt. Victory Church of Christ. She enjoyed needlepoint, cross stitching, latch hook, and puzzle books. Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Mt. Victory is handling arrangements. Services for Wilmer L. Bodine will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Price - McElroy Funeral Home in Mt. Victory with Charlotte Gooden officiating. Friends may call from 3:00 until time of services on Tuesday. He died at 5:30 am on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Hardin Hills Health Center. He was born on September 13, 1947 to the late Wilmer and Betty (Roby) Bodine. On September 12, 1969 he married Charlotte Ross and they later divorced. Then on July 06, 1985 he married Susan Davis and she survives in Mt. Victory. Also surviving are his daughter, Karin Bodine of Ada; sons Chad Bodine of Mt. Victory; and Andrew (Shannon) Bodine of Biloxi MS; grandchildren, Briana (Robert) Handell; Marissa (Jarrod) Kindell; Morgan Bodine; Andrea Bodine; Ambur Bodine; Kelsie Bodine; Kendall Bodine; Rayden Bodine; Jackson Bodine; and Camden Bodine and 6 great grandchildren. Also surviving are sister Vonna (Ed) Miller of Mt. Victory; and nephews, Darrell Bodine and Tom Chamberlin; and niece Lisa Sells. He was a Air Force Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. Wilmer was a private contractor and built his own home. He loved trains, fishing, and trying to fix things around the house. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
