Charles Bodine registered for the World War I draft on 12 Sept 1918 in Poplar Bluff, Butler County, Missouri and gave his date of birth as 7 March 1884. In 1920-1930, Charles Bodine was living in Neelyville, Butler County. In 1920 he was living with his wife and 2 daughters, engaged in farming. In 1930, he reported he was divorced and living with his 8-year old son James. Charles Bodine died of liver cancer and was buried in Sims/Neelyville Cemetery. See his Missouri death certificate no. 1940-1829. Elva (Carter) Bodine was the daughter of Charles Alonzo and Mary Ann (Davis) Carter.
